10 Days Report: Part 2
Global Upper Room
In the year 33 A.D., 120 of the first followers of Jesus united together in prayer in the Upper Room. At the end of ten days, the Holy Spirit was poured out and the church was born.
Since 2004, we have been calling people back to the Upper Room, back to Acts chapter 1, back to the place it all started.
This year (September 22-October 2, 2025) more than 600 groups of believers around the globe gathered in united, ten-day prayer gatherings. What happens when modern believers pray like the book of Acts? Will the book of Acts happen?
Here is just a little bit of what we heard this year.
Unity among Believers
Almost every single person says it: “When we do 10 Days, there is a dramatic increase in unity among believers.” This was one of the hallmarks of the first upper room prayer meeting, where believers prayed “continually and in one accord”.
Bob Neal, who led 10 Days in St. Augustine, Florida shared how an older church leader stood up during one of their evening gatherings and stopped the meeting:
“I’ve never in my life seen churches come together like this,” he shared through tears. This simple observation shifted the atmosphere, as God’s presence fell on the room.
Patricia Atwood shared how in Canada, churches united and pastors from different churches repented, leading to an increase in hope for what God can do in their region. When we love one another, it releases faith and hope for what God can do.
Colorado Springs is a hub for major Christian ministries. However, there has been significant resistance to working together. This year, through the partnership of Dai Sup Han, Lynda Gigliotti, and others, there was a fresh wave of unity in prayer. Major congregations united not only during 10 Days but also prayed together weekly throughout the summer.
Great Opposition, Greater God
Pastor W from Pakistan bore witness to God moving amid great opposition. The devil opposed their work through car accidents, serious illnesses, and even the arrest of key leaders for the crime of sharing the gospel, leaders who were still in prison when we last spoke.
However, in spite of these trials, over 50 groups gathered to seek God’s face during 10 Days. Muslim background believers are praying together in their homes. More and more keep coming to Jesus.
During the 10 Days, a group of Pakistani church leaders met to discuss how to reach the remaining people groups in Pakistan that have never heard the gospel. This group believes that of the 843 distinct people groups in Pakistan, 45 are both unreached and unengaged. After this gathering, all 45 were adopted for prayer and mission. This may have been one of the most significant outcomes of 10 Days this year. Pakistan and India are the two nations with the largest numbers of unreached peoples in the world. Our friends in Pakistan are working to change that even as they suffer greatly—let’s lift them up in our prayers.
Impact of the “10 Days” Film
From September 5-22, we have over 100 pre-screenings of the new feature length documentary, “10 Days”. This film released encouragement and vision for the impact of united prayer. At a gathering in Massachusetts, viewers were amazed to hear what was happening not only in Uganda and India, but also just down the street in Bridgeport, CT. At another showing in New Hampshire, some were left speechless and in tears by what God is doing in the nations.
During the 10 Days in Manchester, NH, one brother shared how seeing the film had reignited a fire for prayer that had been dead for many years. And, this was the biggest testimony from the film. People who saw it wanted to pray more! God is real. Hope is rising. And, the church of Jesus Christ is beautiful, both in our suffering and in our triumph.
Small Gatherings, Large Gatherings
This year, I was part of a team visiting the thirteen original U.S. colonies. We did outreach and joined 10 Day prayer gatherings in all these states. In Raleigh, North Carolina, Kinzie Baldwin, a mom with five kids said “yes” to hosting 10 Days at the state capitol. There were just a handful of dedicated believers gathering to pray outside each day. However, God was pleased to honor the gathering with his presence.
As we did outreach in Raleigh, I felt led to approach a man and see if he needed prayer. He shared how his mother had recently passed away, and he was struggling with loneliness. As we prayed over him on the street, tears were streaming down his face as God’s presence touched him. Later on, that same day, God highlighted a woman sitting on a bench to one of our team. As we approached her to offer prayer and the gospel, I noticed something odd: she seemed to be praying already. As it turns out, she had been trying to find our prayer gathering at the capitol. God made the connection.
Later, we attended larger gatherings in Philadelphia, PA, praying right next to the Liberty Bell in a tent, and in Bridgeport, CT, gatherings with 24/7 worship and prayer and hundreds of people. The presence of God was intense there and there was so much encouragement from seeing large groups of people encountering the Lord together. But, whether gatherings were large or small, God was faithful to respond to His people who were seeking Him.
In the Islamic World
God is moving in the Islamic world as never before. This year, we had 170 groups doing 10 Days in the United Arab Emirates alone. Most were home groups that would join in prayer together each evening after work. In addition, we saw other groups within this same network meeting in 12 other Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia.
This year, many of our locations from India to Austria, to the Middle East and America shared how Muslims were coming to know the Lord or expressing hunger for the gospel. In Austria, a group of women in full Islamic garb expressed their desire to know the resurrected Jesus. I was personally able to share the gospel with several people from a Muslim background. I personally witnessed a Muslim man make a profession of faith in Jesus in Dover, Delaware.
Holy Spirit Activity
As prayers increase, there is always a corresponding increase in the activity of the Holy Spirit. Tens of thousands of lives were touched by the presence of God. While many locations doing 10 Days were not focused on evangelism, it seemed that hungry people who did not know the Lord would just show up to the prayer gatherings. For instance, three Florida State students stumbled into the prayer meeting on the top floor of the Florida statehouse and gave their lives to Jesus. Many people reported physical healings, salvations, deliverance, and divine appointments and connections. When we pray more, God does more.
“Heaven on Earth”
Many people who had done 10 Days for years reported this was the “best year.” Liz Adleta, who has been part of some very powerful gatherings before, noted that their gathering in the Austin statehouse in Texas was the most powerful gathering she had ever attended. It’s the power and potency of God’s presence. Leaders in Oregon and Florida also saw a dramatic increase in the numbers of people engaging and the power of what God was doing. Often, this increase is a direct result of the perseverance of key leaders through years of “small beginnings” that eventually begin to pray dividends.
Bob Neal shared how one night of the 10 Days, God showed up so powerfully that all he could say was it was “Heaven on Earth.” I know many of us have had these types of experiences that are difficult to put into words but leave us forever changed. Truly, God’s presence changes everything!
Answers to Prayer Writ Large
Finally, as has happened many years, we saw significant answers to prayer in the nations, the kinds of prayers that you read about in the news.
In the week before 10 Days began, Charlie Kirk was assassinated, shaking our nation. At his memorial service, government officials and media personalities preached the gospel, leading many to proclaim the outbreak of revival. Whether or not we are “in revival”, I don’t know. However, never in my life have I heard high-ranking government officials boldly preaching the gospel on a national stage.
During 10 Days, we had a special focus on praying in the U.S. state capitols this year. There was a sense that this was an opportunity for a national reset, as we enter the 250th year of our nation, our 5th Jubilee. Remarkably, during a time of prayer and repentance focused on “shutting down cities”, we saw a government shutdown in our nation. It may be that God has heard our prayer for a national reset—we shall see in the months and years to come.
Most notably, after the 10 Days of Awe, a time of “sowing in tears”, we have seen peace break out in Israel and the Middle East. The eight day feast of Tabernacles culminates is a time of unprecedented Joy in the Biblical calendar, culminating on the “great day of the feast”. Incredibly, this was the very day that the hostages were released in Israel. Truly, those who “sow in tears will reap with shouts of joy.” There has been incredible joy among both Gazans and Israelis as the two-year long war has come to an end.
In the United States, we experienced a profound expression of this joy at Communion America, a communion celebration on our National Mall with representatives from all fifty states. It was a family reunion for the praying church, and a beautiful foretaste of our fellowship together in the age to come. On Saturday, we feasted together on a table extending from the Capitol down the length of the Mall. Jesus is coming back, and we will join Him and one another at His table, if we persevere and do not lose heart!
Prayer works in such a way that no person or group can take credit for answers to prayer—all the glory belongs to God. However, for those who know, who walk with the Lord, and have seen his wonders again and again, the truth could not be clearer: when we pray more, God does more. When we seek Him, we find Him. When we ask, we receive. And yes, when we pray like the book of Acts, book of Acts things happen!
