Pentecost Report

10 Days Pentecost 2026

We have just come through 10 Days Pentecost. While reports are still coming in, it is clear there was a global surge of prayer and worship leading up to Pentecost Sunday.

As we approach the 2,000 year anniversary of the first Pentecost, where the Holy Spirit was poured out, it is fascinating to see more believers returning to the upper room and devoting themselves continually to united prayer just like the early church. This is not just one organization or even one movement, it’s an organic work of the Holy Spirit.

I’ve been calling friends and trying to find out what’s happening globally—here’s some of what I’ve heard:

24/7 Prayer in over 27 Nations

Our friends at Jericho Walls reported over 120 groups in 27 nations hosting 24/7 prayer gatherings for ten days. As the capstone to just one of these gatherings, on Pentecost Sunday, 125 church leaders in Cape Town, South Africa gathered for the annual “Come to the Table” gathering, a vibrant day of worship and unpacking the question “What is the Lord saying to the collective church of Cape Town?”

Our partners at Big Life, a simple church network, reported 125 10 Day prayer gatherings among their western churches. That’s an incredible turn-out among western believers. At the same time, they are still waiting to hear numbers from larger groups in Asia, the Middle East, and Latin America.

Jason Gerlach shared: “It was such a joy and blessing to see our various regional networks joined with one another to pray for the Lord's work in their regions…Our India network once again had great participation. Additionally, our participation throughout Latin America, Europe, and Southeast/East Asia increased this year as those network embraced 10 Days more than ever before.”

IPC Report

International Prayer Connect reported over 3 million people registered to pray on the Global Day of Prayer for the Church (Pentecost Sunday, May 24th). There were a lot of things happening through IPC partners, including a remarkable Pentecost gathering among Charismatic Catholics in Brasilia, Brazil.

They had prayer daily for the nine days leading up to Pentecost, starting with 5,000 people and culminating with 600,000 on the eve of Pentecost and 900,000 on Pentecost Sunday. These believers were praying for a fresh outpouring of the Holy Spirit. The leaders were teaching on a personal commitment to Jesus and praying for attendees one-on-one for physical healing and deliverance. The entire gathering culminated in taking Communion together.

Internally, we had 190 groups register 10 Day gatherings with us. Because some were duplicates or solo people, and other registrations represented large networks with several hundred gatherings, our best guess is this registration number represented 300 10 Day gatherings.

All in all, with many different groups, churches, and networks working together I think we can be sure there were well more than 550 10 Day prayer events happening around the globe. Given the number of groups we are still waiting to hear reports from, I think the number is actually much higher.

10 Days Summit(s) Reports from Philadelphia and Santa Fe

During the 10 Days Pentecost season, we also had two Summits, one in Philadelphia and one in Santa Fe. The Philadelphia Summit had representatives from almost all fifty states.

Philadelphia Summit organizer Patti Bruno described it this way:

The Lord drew people from around the country and from five separate (but united in prayer) ministries to this special Summit…we rededicated the nation to Jesus in front of the Liberty Bell…it was a Holy moment on Holy ground. It was a joyful and profound summit full of Love, amazing worship, and the glory of God. A time of miracles dropping from Heaven constantly…

Many from the gathering went on to attend the Rededicate 250 event in Washington DC on May 17th. Jason Hershey of David’s Tent, a 24/7 prayer tent on the national mall, was encouraged by the outcome of the Rededicate gathering, which featured many Christians in politics and business including Speaker Johnson: “It was JESUS. His name broke through. Historic Day.”

Patricia Arenas and Joseph Torrez collaborated on the Southwest Summit:

The Southwest Summit in Santa Fe was a powerful convergence of delegates from the four corners region. The unity of the Spirit was strong and His presence was authentic. We gathered at the highest and oldest capital in the nation to pray for reconciliation and heal ancient wounds…With all of this rich history, both the good and the bad, we are seeing “his story” unfold. We are confident we will see the desert bloom, as it says in Isaiah 35.”

A Personal Word

For me personally, the Santa Fe Summit was a full circle moment. I received the vision for 10 Days when I lived in Santa Fe, so it felt surreal to come back after so many years. I was able to reconnect with old friends like Pastor Ron Sebesta of “The Light at Mission Viejo” who led the pastor’s group I stumbled into in 2004, John Robb, founder of IPC, and Jose and Miki Vazquez.

Our showing of the10 Days film was accompanied by an unusually strong sense of God’s presence. My favorite part of the Summit was our last activity, a panel discussion.

Initially, the panel was to include five people, but somehow Joseph kept inviting more and more people, until it seemed to include half the room. But the stories of what God had done through 10 Days in past years were amazing. Multiple people had met their spouses, others shared stories of physical and emotional healing. One young man shared how he was completely healed of blood cancer, “but that’s not even the best part.”  I was blown away by the stories of God’s faithful people seeing him with faith and seeing Him respond in remarkable and miraculous ways. It was an amazing way to cap off the Summit.

Through it all, the simple wisdom of taking extended seasons to be with Jesus was reinforced again and again. It was a special joy for me to have my daughter Eva with me, as well.

There were remarkable providences throughout the entire 10 Days. However, the journey home on Pentecost Sunday was remarkable. First, he provided needed financial provision at just the right time, and in an unexpected way. Then, on my first flight, I had a divine appointment with young man in training to be a Roman Catholic priest. He was on his way to an eight-day prayer retreat just as I was on my way home from 10 Days of Prayer. Among other things, we discussed Jesus’ prayer in John 17 at length. The Holy Spirit was really hovering over our time which was extended by a flight delay.

When he arrived at his retreat, he texted me the remarkable news: John 17:20-26 was to be the theme of their eight days of silent prayer. Only God can coordinate all things like this. But, why should we be surprised by it since we are truly the body of Jesus Christ, inhabited by one Holy Spirit?

As we stir up the gift of the Spirit within us during these global times of prayer and consecration, it is no wonder that we find ourselves increasingly moving and acting as ONE.
